LEASING PROCESS
Denton Enterprise Airport offers both ground leases for those who want to construct their own facilities, and conventional hangar leases for existing facilities. Our Leasing and Development Policy provides prospective tenants with valuable details on the leasing process and key lease terms and requirements.

Submit an Inquiry

After identifying a parcel of interest, submit a formal inquiry to express your interest in a ground lease by contacting the Airport. Our team will assist you with any questions, provide additional information, and confirm your proposed development conforms to the Airports Principal Development Criteria.
Leasing Application & Proposal

Once your inquiry is received, you'll be asked to complete a Development Application and submit a development concept. This includes your planned use for the land, timeline, and any required building specifications
Lease Negotiation

After reviewing your proposal, our team will engage in discussions to negotiate lease terms, including the lease duration, rental rates, and any development milestones. We are committed to providing fair and transparent terms for all parties.
Lease Agreement

Once all terms are agreed upon, both parties will sign a ground lease agreement. The lease will outline the responsibilities of both the airport and the lessee, including maintenance, development obligations, and financial terms.
Development & Construction

Following the lease agreement, you can begin the development and construction phase according to your proposal and the airport's development guidelines. Our team will be available to assist throughout the process to ensure compliance with all regulations.
Ongoing Lease Management

Upon completion of the development, the property will be available for your use, with regular lease management and periodic reviews.

Possible Uses: This site is large enough for a wide variety of aeronautical uses, both private and commercial, that serve Group 2 aircraft.
Size: Appx. 50,000 SF (1.14 acres)
Possible Uses: Due to its limited taxilane access, this site can accommodate both aeronautical and non-aeronautical uses. It is large enough to support a variety of general aviation applications or can be used in an aeronautical support capacity.
Size: Appx. 94,000 SF (2.17 acres)

At this time, there are no available City-owned hangars for rent. The hangar waiting list is currently CLOSED and expected to reopen in the fall of 2025. To be alerted to the opening of the hangar waiting list, please sign up for Airport Update emails.
