
SPECIAL EVENTS
Each year, Denton Enterprise Airport hosts a number of special events, whether invitation only, ticketed, or open to the general public.
If you’re planning to host a special event on the airport, you may be required to obtain an Airport Special Event Permit. This permit ensures that the event is conducted in manner that is safe and does not interfere with the aviation activity on the airport.





Who needs a SPECIAL EVENT permit?
An Airport Special Event Permit is required for any individual, business, or organization is hosting an event where:

The general public would be invited and/or have access to the airside,

Alcohol is served or consumed on any public portion of the airport,
-
Parking is predicted to exceed the current parking allotted for the facility, and other arrangements must be made (i.e., borrowing parking capacity from an adjacent leasehold),

There is the use of inflatable or air-supported structures, temporary amusement rides, or games involving projectiles or elevated components,
-
An admission, fee, payment, or donation is requested from attendees, or
-
There is a charge for food, drinks, services, or attendance.

Airport staff recommend event planners submit their permit request as soon as possible, but no less than 30 days prior to the event. To request a permit, please complete the form below:
Once a permit request is received, airport staff will evaluate the event and discuss any concerns with the event host prior to approving or denying the permit request. In certain case a City of Denton Special Event permit may be required.
